Fishing Resources and Fishing Engineering

 

OF THE SET OF DISCIPLINES AND CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

In the Graduate Program in Fishery Resources and Fishery Engineering the student must pay his credits as follows:

Master's degree:
The minimum number of credits is 40 (forty), being distributed as follows:
- 10 (ten) credits in the compulsory subjects offered by the course;
- 09 (nine) credits in the elective disciplines of the bond research line;
- 5 (five) credits in electives of free choice and/or attended other programs in related fields or, in credits arising from the publication of scientific articles;
- 16 credits related to dissertation;
- Total credits: 24 in subjects and 16 in the dissertation;
- Total C / H: 600 hours.

Doctorate degree:
The minimum number of credits is 78 (seventy-eight), being distributed as follows:
- 16 (sixteen) credits in the compulsory subjects offered by the course;
- 15 (fifteen) credits in the elective disciplines of the bond research line;
- 17 (seventeen) credits in electives of free choice and/or attended other programs in related fields, taking advantage of master's degree or, in credits arising from the publication of scientific articles;
- 30 credits related to thesis;
- Total credits: 48 in subjects and 30 in the thesis;
- Total C/H: 1,170 hours
In order to take advantage of credits, besides the subjects studied in the Program, they may be obtained in the following ways:
a) The graduate student may take courses in another Postgraduate program in related areas recommended by Capes, which may be validated by the Program Board;
b) The graduate student may take advantage of credits for the publication of scientific articles in journals ranked by Qualis / Capes in the area of ​​Animal Science/Fishing Resources, with the following score:
- Magazines with Qualis Capes A1 or A2; 
- 2 credit per article, equivalent to 30 hours - Journals with Qualis Capes B1 or B2 or B3; 
- 1 credit per article, equivalent to 15 hours.
