Scholarships

In 2020, the Program offers 13 Master’s scholarships (24 months) and 12 Doctoral scholarships (48 months), financed by CAPES (Social Demand Program) and the Araucária Foundation (through specific annoucements).

Scholarship distribution is carried out through a specific selection process, in accordance with internal regulations and which presents the following criteria:

- Master’s Degree:
a) Score obtained in the socioeconomic analysis: 50%. The socioeconomic demand is assessed based on the data submitted by the applicants in the “Socioeconomic data form” and the documentation attached to the form, when applying for the scholarship selection process.
b) Grade obtained in the written test of the selection for admission to the Master’s course: 30%.
c) Score obtained in the analysis of the Lattes Curriculum: 20%.

- PhD:
a) Score obtained in the socioeconomic analysis: 50%. The socioeconomic demand is assessed based on the data submitted by the applicants in the “Socioeconomic data form” and the documentation attached to the form, when applying for the scholarship selection process.
b) Score obtained in the analysis of the Lattes Curriculum: 50%.

Candidates for the selection of scholarship receivers, if they so wish, may use their curriculum and supporting documentation delivered due to the selection process to enter the Program.

It should be noted that, both for the selection of Master’s and Doctoral scholarship holders, in cases where there is a tie between the scores of two or more candidates, the distribution of scholarships occurs respecting the balance between our three Research Lines.
